Assistant Project Manager

Wahl Vietnam is a subsidiary of Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Assistant Project Manager.

Reporting: Wahl Vietnam's NPI manager

Missions:

To understand customer needs and requirements and develop lean product management through effective project management processes in order to meet Zero optimum goal.

Responsibilities:

• Assistant project manager will be responsible for the development and launch of new products (NPI), following the project from plan to mass production.
• Ensure successful collaboration within cross-functional global & local teams for effective product & project management.
• Support new molding tool design and development and coordinate outside repair and sourcing for tooling and machines.
• Provide product cost and budgeting full product launch, meeting all the project management delivery requirements.
• Coordinate "concept through final approval process" of the creation of photo samples, carton artwork, user manuals and other product requirements.
• Manage product portfolio initiatives governed by the product review meeting.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of business processes related to project management and new product development.
• Product and project management incorporating with lean principles in mind.
• Responsible for overall plant CAPEX and OPEX management by project assignment & follow up to the team members.
• Managing outsourced manufacturing services together with the SQE and sourcing department.
• Support in scouting new vendors and technologies to streamline the manufacturing process.
• Close coordination in managing projects and frequently analyzing risks associated.
• Supports the WCM lean system and develops the EPM pillar.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in Manufacturing Management / Industrial Engineering / project management.

• Excellent understanding of supply & production processes and good knowledge of relevant software and ERP systems, Microsoft AX & D365 preferred.

• Experience in manufacturing environment including 5 - 10 years' experience in NPI management, project management, molding production, and process management.

• Previous experience of min. 5 years in molding, NPI, project or process management.
