Regional Supply Planner

The Regional Supply Planner is responsible for Finished Goods Replenishment into each of the entities in the assigned region. This position demonstrates independent decision making and contributes to improvements within the policies determined by the Global Supply Chain team. The Planner drives cross functional collaboration with both suppliers and internal partners to ensure that objectives for on-time delivery, inventory, and cost are met. The Regional Supply Planner reports directly to the Intercompany and S&OP Supply Planning Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Partner with Demand Planning and Sales and Marketing to understand future requirements and develop, implement, and monitor inventory and supply strategies that achieve a balance between customer service levels and inventory goals.
2. Coordinate with Warehousing, Logistics, Manufacturing Sites, and 3rd Party Supplier to ensure execution of Supply Planning strategy.
3. Acts as the voice of the customer. Leads cross-functional coordination and provides urgency and critical thinking to resolve complex material shortages and corresponding recovery plans throughout the region.
4. Utilize and Optimize MRP Systems to plan purchase orders and drive necessary material actions (expedite, postpone, cancel) to achieve optimal inventory flow, avoid material shortages, and provide for accurate dates for Customer Order confirmations.
5. Manage MRP parameters to ensure system integrity.
6. Responsible for root cause analysis and corrective action to address gaps in on-time delivery, inventory, and cost.
7. Act as key Supply Chain resource for Product Lifecycle Management projects for both New Product Introduction and End of Life phase-out.
8. Assists in resolving purchase order receiving discrepancies and supplier quality issues.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Review SMART goals daily to understand current state.
2. Promote quality-oriented mindset around data integrity with both Supplier & Material Warehouse
3. Meet customer on time, in full expectations by reviewing inventory performance & material flow to plan.
4. Achieve inventory turn objectives by understanding customer demand and lead times to establish target inventory levels.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient software skills (required)
• Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
• Strong foundation in customer fulfillment and inventory management concepts
• Demonstrated understanding of MRP and manufacturing end to end processes
• Must understand and embrace the Wahl values and culture
• BS in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field of study required or comparable experience in an operations environment
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain or similar function
