Senior Injection Molding Process Engineer

Wahl Vietnam is a subsidiary of Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Senior Injection Molding Process Engineer.

Reporting: Wahl Vietnam's Senior Operations Manager

Missions:

To design & conduct injection molding process in order to meet Zero defect – Zero Loss goal

Responsibilities:

• Be a servant leader and advocate for "Zero Defect" and "First Time Right" mindset throughout the company
• Support the prodction manager to Manage the overall activities of the molding department including process, machine maintenance and tool maintenance and repair
• Comments: the responsible person for managing the overall activities of the molding department is the molding supervisor or production manager, not process Engineer. process Engineer can involve deeply and support in the overall activities but not the responsible person.
• Take the role in driving the improvement of productivity and quality of plastic part , molding, and tooling techniques.Responsible for the development and implementation of both the long- and short-term goals for the Molding Department
• Comments: the responsible person is the molding supervisor or production manager, process engineer can deeply involve in.
• Change to : support the production manager to develop and implement both the long-and short-term goals for the Molding Department.
• Troubleshoot mold processes, machines, and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime
• Provide technical assistance to molding technicians and operators.
• Provide leadership in the maintenance of all operational systems and process controls associated with mold processing, mold maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair. (Documented mold set ups, process intervention logs, product dimensional and visual evaluations supporting product requirements, product validations, etc.).
• Participate in and support the Quality Management System,
• Train and develop molding personnel relative to the molding process (Process technicians and molding operators), promote employee understanding and adherence to safety regulations and the Quality Management System
• Support new tool design and development and coordinate outside repair and sourcing for tooling and machines
• Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient processes, products & procedures
• Fully responsible of molding outsource service management, supplier process, our mold maintenance, audits etc.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in Plastic injection molding
• Excellent understanding of supply & production processes and good knowledge of relevant software and ERP systems, Microsoft AX preferred
• Experience in manufacturing environment including with over 5 years' experience in manufacturing management & Quality excellence particularly in molding
• Previous experience of min. 5 years as Molding section engineer preferred.
• Experience in developing plastic processing parameters with hands-on experience in mold setup, process optimization, and problem-solving.
• Proficient in using scientific molding technique,able to analyze scientific study, and provide improvement feedback.
• Experiences in plastic tool design, mold making.
